There are rubber feet on the bottom to protect your countertop and will help the cutting board from moving around when you are cutting. The cutting boards are made out of solid wood from the USA and are available in walnut, hickory and walnut-maple mix. There are 3 coats of a food grade mineral oil to seal the cutting board to make it ready to use when you receive it. (You can buy a bottle of mineral oil to keep your cutting board looking new).
